When God peeks into the heart of His worshippers, what does He see. Too often, this is what He sees…
‘I would like to buy $5 dollars worth of God, please...not enough to awaken my soul from sleep...just enough to give me a warm and fuzzy feeling. I don’t want enough of God to make me love my neighbor or give up my racist tendencies. I don’t want transformation…I just want a little joy. I want to feel the comfort of the womb…not a new birth. I’ll take $5 dollars worth of Eternity in a paper sack, please. And can you make it quick? I’m in a hurry.’

On the surface, that may sound humorous…but to be honest, it’s not funny. Unfortunately, this is the mindset of too many worshippers on Sunday morning. God is an inconvenience…an interruption. He often gets in the way of what we really have our mind set on doing.
