I like the Book of Proverbs. Solomon has a way of ripping the cover off our actions and exposing them in the light of day for what they are…sin. There’s no sugarcoating with Solomon. He says what God wants him to say without consternation or worry…because he knows the LORD is on his side. And in our text, he’s exposing the deeds of a contentious man.

Can you think of a contentious man, someone who just likes to stir up trouble? They can be a nuisance to our daily peace, and after a while, they can also become downright dangerous. That’s why Solomon warned his son about contentious men. Solomon tells his son…
