Three Point
In the physical realm, a prosecutor is an elected official who is legally responsible for investigating, charging and prosecuting those who are accused of breaking the law. The prosecutor generally represents the people of the United States government and is backed by the power of the state.
But in the spiritual realm, such is not the case. In the spiritual realm, God is the Prosecutor, and He represents Himself. He needs no government backing or state power because He is not only the prosecutor; He is also the judge and jury.
As Prosecutor, God brings his case against mankind. “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” As Jury, He issues the verdict that “the wages of sin is death…”. Then as Judge, God drops the charges. But He doesn’t drop the charges for everyone. He drops the charges for those who “shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead.” For those who confess Christ, God says, “thou shalt be saved”. Christ becomes the saving payment for our guilty verdict.
