The ear is a valuable tool. Ask anyone who is deaf. Better still, ask anyone who loves gossip. They’ll tell you that what you hear never sounds half as important as what you overhear. Ah, the value of the ear!

But the ear cannot perform its function alone. It needs a hearing aid. That aid is called the BRAIN. The ear hears, but it’s the brain that interprets the sound, And interpretation is the key. It’s no wonder Jesus often preceded his parables with this warning…”He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.”
