"One evening, a few years ago, I was heading home in my car when I caught a red light. At the corner was a homeless man with a sign that said, “Can You Help?” I rolled down the window, motioned him to the car and asked, “Are you a Christian?” The man instantly became angry and doubled up his fist. I thought he was going to punch me. I said, “I’m sorry if I offended you, but I thought I was helping.” The man said, “Mind your own business” to which I replied, “Sir, this is my business!” I handed him a dollar and my card. The light changed and I drove off.
For a long time, it bothered me that I had what he needed most, and he didn’t even know it; until one day this scripture came to mind and I was finally able to accept that I had at least done what I was supposed to do. The rest would be up to God. GOD is the One who draws men to Christ.
The LORD counts on us to be his ambassadors.
