"Influence has a major impact on who we are. The impact of influence can be seen in the choices we make and the paths we take. We are motivated by who or what we allow to guide us. Influence can be positive, but it can also be negative. So, we have to be careful, not just about what surrounds us, but also what we allow IN us.
Let me give you two comparative examples. Nelson Mandela was influenced by democratic ideals and human rights crusades, which led him to fight against apartheid in South Africa. On the other hand, Judas Iscariot was influenced by greed and external pressures that led him to betray Jesus.
