A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Three Point
"Nobody is sure where the phrase, “A picture is worth a thousand words”, originated. Some say it came from a newspaper editor names Arthur Brisbane. Others say it’s accredited to Fred Barnard who used it to advertise his business in Printers’ Ink Magazine. Still others say it dates back to Leonardo da Vinci. And some even say it’s an old Chinese proverb.
Regardless of its origin, we all know exactly what it means. It means that a single image can convey the most complex ideas, emotions, or information far more effectively than a lengthy verbal description. There’s something about visual representation that communicates depth and nuance that words alone might struggle to capture. For example, I can tell you that my dog Goliath is a fierce guard dog, But if I show you a picture of my fluffy little two-pound, pocket sized mut, you draw a completely different conclusion.
