"We’re all familiar with the stock exchange. It’s that number that goes up and down, up and down; and it can cause havoc in the lives of those who depend on its stability. Many people don’t care about the Stock Market because they think it doesn’t matter to them. The truth is, the stock market affects all of us, whether directly or indirectly.
• A poor stock market will lead to employee layoffs and business closures.
• A poor stock market will cause people to reduce their spending.
• A poor stock market can eat up some or all of your retirement savings.
• A poor stock market can influence the economic health of a nation.
• And a poor stock market can affect the cost of everyday goods.
So if you think you have no “skin in the game”, you are wrong. We are all related to Mr. Dow Jones. But I’m not as concerned about Dow Jones as I am about another stock exchange; the exchange that happens when we take stock of ourselves and put our trust, not in the market, but in the Messiah."
