Faith in the Furnace of Oppression

Daniel 3:17
Black History
Three Point
" There is a weight that does not lift with time…a pressure that presses not only on the body, but on the soul. To be oppressed is to walk with unseen shackles, to smile while suffocating, to strive while being systematically stalled, to dream while the world denies your dignity.
Oppression is not just history, it is inheritance. It is the echo of auction blocks in boardrooms, the shadow of Jim Crow in school zones, and the sting of microaggressions dressed in politeness. It is being told to ‘rise’, while the ceiling is made of iron. It is being called ‘resilient’, while the fire keeps burning around you.
And yet, here we are. We are not consumed. We are not crushed. We are not canceled. Because there is a fourth figure in the furnace; One who walks with us in the heat; One who refuses to let the flames define our future. This sermon is not just about survival. It is about sacred resistance.
