"We marvel at our immense universe. It’s an ever-expanding tapestry of galaxies and stars beyond our sight…and we wonder what lies beyond. Before we ask what lies beyond the universe, maybe we should first ask, “what do we mean by "universe"? If it holds all space, all time, and everything that ever was or will be, then even the void we have yet to discover is a part of its domain. There’s no such thing as “outside” of the universe. It makes you wonder, doesn’t it? But what if the universe is infinite? No edge, no boundary, no outer rim to speak of. Just silent, sprawling mystery extending beyond what our eyes or our light can reach. Scientists estimate the observable universe to stretch 90 billion light-years across, but we suspect there’s more beyond. More galaxies. More stars. More unknown.

We’re hemmed in by the speed of light, the rate of expansion, the moment of the Big Bang theory…and still, we reach for what lies beyond. We believe there is something more there, and we are pursuing it. As vast as creation may be, its grandeur points not to emptiness, but to Presence.

Just as the universe stretches beyond the boundary of what we can observe, so too does the presence of God extend beyond the limits of where we think He can reach. ..."
