Before there were factories, forges, or power tools, a blacksmith’s shop was the heartbeat of a community. Step inside one of those old shops and you’d hear a sound that was unmistakable…the ringing clash of metal meeting metal. Sparks flying. Steel singing. Iron striking iron.
A blacksmith knew something we often forget: iron never sharpens itself. Left alone, it grows dull. Left untouched, it loses its edge. But placed in the hands of a skilled craftsman…pressed against another piece of iron…it becomes useful, effective, and ready for work.
Sharpening was never a gentle process. It involved heat, pressure, friction, and repeated contact. But every strike had a purpose. Every spark meant progress. Every collision was shaping the blade into something stronger, sharper, and more capable than before.
