A few years ago, a man was seen trying to push his stalled pickup truck up a slight incline. He leaned into it with everything he had…legs shaking, back straining, sweat pouring…but the truck barely budged. People passed by and watched him struggle, but no one stopped. Finally, another man walked over, put his hands on the back of the truck, and said, “Let me help you.” The moment he joined in, the truck began to move. Same hill. Same truck. Same weight. The only difference was who was pushing with him.
Saints, that’s the difference between laboring for the Lord and laboring with the Lord. When you labor for the Lord, you rely on your strength, your ideas, your energy, your ability. But when you labor with the Lord, you rely on His strength, His wisdom, His power, His presence.
